Ellie Neilsen and Margaret Barnett are artists with very different backgrounds. Ellie works flat TWO D and Margaret works THREE D most people are familiar with print making – Ellie’s forte, but are not so familiar with Margaret’s forte with Shibori Techniques.

Simply… Shibori is sophisticated Tie Dye. The Hippie tie dye was taken from the Traditional shaped resist clothes from Asia. India and Japan. Since the 1980’s Margaret has been exploring traditional techniques from Japan, India and Africa. She is highly regarded for her Shibori as Art and exhibited widely internationally as well as throughout Australia. REDCLIFFE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE
