The three artists exhibiting in A Seed Once Sown have diverse creative interests. Artist Michelle Gratwick’s demonstrates a fascination with the wild and complex ecology of mangroves in her paintings. The theme of Cecilia Hine’s art captures plants that grow and survive amid the noise of a city garden. “Garden Graffiti’s” Kat O’Sullivan loves moving, textural, romantic and rambling garden styles with an edge. The one thing all these ideas have in common is they start with a seed. A Seed Once Sown will be on show from Wednesday 18 September till Sunday the 13 October at the Old Fire Station Gallery in Redcliffe [395 Oxley Ave Redcliffe]. Come and join the artists for afternoon tea and live music at the official opening on Saturday the 21st of September from 2-5 pm. The Gallery and Gallery Shop are open Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-3pm.
There will also be a closing event before the exhibition officially ends on the 13th of October. The closing evening event is on Saturday 12 October 5-9pm; join the artists at the gallery on for a screening of the film “A Little Chaos” starring Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman from 5-7 pm followed by live music with bouwHouse. A gold coin donation is requested on the evening of the closing event. [See attached poster for further details]. Ample parking available.
