The Churn Room opened in early 2022 after inspiration from conversations with creatives and artisans planted seeds of thought for ideas that had quietly simmered away before being brought to fruition when the opportunity to re-invent the old Dayboro Butter Factory into a space that welcomes artists, makers and community.

Our vision continues to be, to provide a space within which artists may express the story of their work, strengthening collaborations with both creative industry and community. Together our artisan community has endeavoured to create a place of anticipation, excitement and enjoyment for all who visit.

The Encounters Exhibition is our opportunity to

celebrate the journey thus far.

In the works submitted for this exhibition, the artists represent noticed experiences, that stirred and prompted expression using familiar materials, processes and inherent style.

Thank you to each of the artists represented in the Encounters Exhibition for contributing your creativity to this group exhibition project.
